François-desired Mathieu
François-Desired Mathieu , born with Einville-with-Jard the the May 27th 1839 and died in London the October 28th 1908, is a French bishop and historian.
Ordered priest in 1863, he is professor of history and literature to the Small seminar of Pont-à-Mousson of 1860 with 1879. Bishop of Angers in 1893 and archbishop of Toulouse in 1896, it is named cardinal and destined for Rome in 1899. He is elected maintenor of the Académie of the floral Plays in 1898 and member of the French Academy in 1906.
