Prize winner of the Contest Queen Elizabeth in 1968, Arthur Rubinstein notices it and lavishes to him, as of 1973, of invaluable encouragements. It is partly thanks to him that it chooses the career of interpreter definitively and obtains his first international engagements. Consequently, it carries out many rounds in the world, and occurs in prestigious festivals and more the big rooms. He is an interpreter inspired of Chopin, Liszt and Germanic repertory (Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms).
In 1996, 1997 and 1998, François-Rene Duchâble was elected Instrumental soloist of the Year to the Victoires of the Music and was seen decreeing in 1997 the reward of the Best Recording of French Classical music. After thirty years of a rich career, François-Rene Duchâble wants to devote himself to other activities (sports, active participation with associations, to approach nature…). Not having the taste pronounced for the career of pianist, it forever sought to flatter the public and has, in return, never have the recognition which it however deserves.
He thus put an end to his “traditional” career in 2003 (by in particular throwing a carcass of piano in the lake of Mercantour ) to offer the music which he interprets with those which usually do not have access there, like giving courses of interpretation.
During its career, he worked with the leaders Herbert von Karajan, Armin Jordan, Michel Plasson, Alain Lombard and John Nelson, in particular interpreting the concerti of Maurice Ravel and Ludwig van Beethoven.
François-Rene Duchâble was and remains recognized the like one of largest technicians of the keyboard, and has an impressive fluidity of play.
