François-Raoul Larche
François-Raoul Larche (Saint-Andre-with-Cubzac, October 22nd 1860 - Paris 1912), French sculptor of the Art nouveau, known for its portraits of Christ, but also for her naked female.
It was one of the many artists to being influenced by the dancer Loie Fuller. He lived with Coubron (Seine-Saint-Denis), where one can see his statue Faunas.
Works
- the Seine and its affluents , 1920, Paris, monumental fountain decorating one of the entries of the Large palace.
- the Meadow and the Brook (see opposite) is an allegory of the child escaping the mother. One can see this statue with the Palais of Luxembourg, in Paris.
