François-Marie Coger , born with Paris in 1723 and dead the May 18th 1780, is a man of the church and French man of letters.

He was professor of humanities then of eloquence to the college Mazarin, then vice-chancellor of the Université of Paris. He left a Funeral oration of Louis XV and poetries Latin. Its Examen of the Bélisaire of Marmontel attracted to him the anger of Voltaire, which extremely maltreated it.
