François-Marie Andrieux (1777 with Morlaix - 1832 with Plourin-lès-Morlaix) was a trader and Papetier French.

Of modest origin, François-Marie Andrieux will become important negotiating of Morlaix and will invest in the manufacture of the Papier. For the factory of Glaslan in Pleyber-Christ, it acquires of an English paper machine in 1830 and increases its production considerably. The ragmen collect old rags and old irons for the activity of foundry.

In 1814, he is judge with the court of Morlaix.

He is friendly of the rich person negotiating Nantes Thomas I Dobrée and is paper supplier for the school of mutual teaching created with Nantes by this last. A few years later, F.M. Andrieux, associated with other Breton traders, also founds a school of this type with Landerneau.

It is also interested in agriculture and the improvement of the farm equipment, in the living conditions of the sailors, hotel industry.

With its death at the time of the cholera epidemic in 1832, his/her son Aristide (1809-1886) takes the direction of the Usine, then modernizes it.

In parallel the aforementioned Aristide, “citizen devoted”, invests himself in the Chamber of commerce and of industry of Morlaix, of which he becomes president in 1875.
