François-Edme Branch of the Holy Father

François-Edme Rameau of the Holy Father (1820-1899) is a French historian and sociologist. He is especially known for his historical and cultural work on French Canada at the end of the XIXe century. In particular, he studied the Acadie, in which he recognized the spirit of old France of formerly.
