François-Benjamin Chaussemiche is a French architect born in 1864 in Tours, died in 1945, raises, then collaborator Victor Laloux. He was architect as a chief of the castle of Versailles. Large Price of Rome of architecture in 1893.

Works

  • 97 drawings of François-Benjamin Chaussemiche was offered in 2000 to the Musée of the Art schools de Tours by Mr Brauwald.

In 1950 his wife bequeathed to the museum of the Art schools de Tours a table representing an Escape in Egypt which, in 1956 was recognized as being of Rembrandt. This attribution does not achieve any more the unanimity today.
