François-Andre Isambert (November 30th 1792 with Aunay-under-Auneau - April 13rd 1857 with Paris) is a jurisconsult and politician French.

Especially known for its engagement in favor of the stamping from the slaves, it publishes a succession of memories which have a great repercussion.

Lawyer at the court of appeal, director of the Bulletin of the laws, adviser with the court of appeal, it is appointed of Chartres then of Luçon. He is sent to the constituent Assembly of 1848 by the voters of Eure-et-Loir.

François Isambert rests with the Cemetery of Montmartre in Paris.
