François-Alexandre of Chenaye-Aubert , or Chenaye-Aubert, Chesnaye-Aubert, Aubert of Chenaye Desbois , (June 17th 1699, Ernée - February 29th 1784, Paris), was a French writer

His/her father was receiver of the drafts of the town of Ernée. Its childhood is not known. After having received a religious instruction , it enters like Moine, under the name of Athanase in a convent with Evreux. Credit and fighter, it leaves his retirement, by twice, with " dislike for its state " and " carrying of the monks, in general, a fort bad memory ".

In 1742, it Marie with a young lady Picquenot of the Cross. It was sent to Saint-Lazare, for expier his faults, giving up the monastic life, even for a serious reason. His wife could not correspond any more with him but while being made pass through her sister. These enemies (Nicolas Rene Berryer, general Lieutenant of police force, the Abbot of Choisexure,…) obtained from the king in 1747 his transfer to Amsterdam, but without its wife who was to remain in France. It published in Amsterdam its Dutch letters , and did not seem to remain a long time, since in 1750, it published its dictionary of the food .

He dies without resources 1784. One describes it like " a man of high size, with the dye sheepskin, the picotée figure of Small pox ".

Publications

Chenaye-Aubert left a great number of writings; some are ignored or do not exist any more, others are rare. Several of these works are signed of a Pseudonyme. He is highly criticized for his partiality in some of his works. One can reproach him for having consigned facts of which it had not always controlled the authenticity, but it is not necessary Pa soublier that it was obliged to work for the account of editors who often exploited his poverty.
