The Fram is a ship which was used for the polar Exploration successively by the Norwegian explorers Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup and Roald Amundsen between 1893 and 1912. It was conceived by the naval architect Colin Archer in preparation for the forwarding of Nansen, during which it was to be let take by the Banquise in order to derive over the North pole.
It now is exposed and preserved at Oslo in a museum which is dedicated to him.
