Fraispertuis City is a family Parc with topics located at Jeanménil in the middle of the Vosgean forest . Opened since 1966, it has as a main theme the Western. This park is due to its family character with the many attractions only intended for young people, the adults finding their pleasure by filming their small. He was elected besides “better French family park” in 2004.

History

In 1966, Michel Fleurent opens a Guinguette with the locality Fraispertuis, a narrow valley and fresh broadside of large coniferous trees where the Gaindrupt runs, a small affluent of the Mortagne. Impassioned by the history of the conquest of the American West , it decorates it attractions and horse-gears pointing out the broad topics of the Western S. Of the first swings, it passes to the small train then to Fort Apache, replaced today, which is worth to him as of 1978 a honourable frequentation.

The principal evolution occurs after the repurchase of a Grand eight which will be adapted to the general topic. Starting from this date, a single tariff of entry replaces the tickets of horse-gear and the park continues its extension and progresses in fame. However, the company remains family and the winter pause is devoted to maintenance and the transformations by the owners themselves.

The park counts today more than twenty attractions of any types (watery, coaster, flat wrinkle,…), four thematized restaurants and a good number of infrastructures related to the comfort of the visitors.

The May 13rd 2007, the Bisons crafty ones, of news thematized bumper cars, intended for the children from five to ten years joined the panoply of attractions of the park.

Principal Attractions

Russian mountains

• the Large Canyon

Inspired of the American tourist attraction of the same name, the Large Canyon is an attraction with strong feeling of type Russian Montagnes out of metal. This attraction manufactured for Fraispertuis City by Soquet and was installed in 2000. It consists of three trains of two coaches, on the topic of the tip truck of the gold diggers. Each coach can accommodate four people. The course was seen lengthened of a loop in 2005. It is today the greatest attraction of the park.

• the Cavalry

Attraction appeared in 2005, the Cavalry consists of a curved rail on which a rotary platform slides from one end to another, thus describing a movement of beam. The originality is due to the fact that the 24 passengers of the aforesaid the platform are installed, with - califourchon, on their seat thematized in the shape of horses (from where the name of attraction).

This attraction, carried out by the Italian company Zamperla, is a first in France. It is of type Disk' O Coaster. Its thematisation was conceived exceptionally for Fraispertuis City in order to adapt as well as possible to the general topic of the park.

Watery attractions

• Flum

Boat in wood logs for a voyage on water with a fall of 11 meters.

• Geyser City

Installed in 2003, this adventure playground is made for those which are not afraid to be wet.

Dark-wrinkle

• the Gold mine

This attraction, of type Dark wrinkles, had to be closed in 2001 following the installation of the Large Canyon. Initially envisaged in 2003, its reopening was for June 2006. The quizaine of automats was provided by manufacturing German HEIMO and the frames of the tip trucks were built in the workshops of the park.

Others

• Pony Express train

Held to the children, this attraction, integrated into the Mexican district, a ride in the plains of the Far-West simulates. It is one of the rare specimens of still open Steeplechase in Europe.

• Santiags

The innovation of the year 2002 is a flat wrinkle of the caterpillar type. The coaches are thématisés in the shape of small boots from where the name of attraction.

• the Sombreros

Opened in 2004 in the Mexican district , the visitors settle in enormous hats in six places. This attraction functions thanks to a system of offset axes of rotation and jacks which make raise in alternation the hats. The produced effect is close to that of the cups with a rising of the nacelles moreover.

• Movies Desperados

Conceived by the company Alterface and regarded as the first attraction of the kind in France, it is about an interactive cinema where the visitors must draw using false guns on a screen, the best person being that which touched the most targets. Three better and the worst of the room will see their photographs posted on the big screen. This attraction is currently under operation and is reserved to the people of more than six years.
