The fragmented Wood raméal , or wood fragmented branches ( BRF ) is a mixture of residues of crushing (fragmentation) of branches of Bois (diameter < 7 cm) coming from a mixture of noble Arbre S (wood hard with strong content of Tannin S such as the Chêne, the maple, the Hêtre), the Résineux being to avoid, 20% however are tolerated mixes of it.

By extension, the term BRF indicates also innovating agricultural farming methods which, by the introduction of the broyat into the roadbase of the ground, or in mulch recreates a ground of the " type; forestier". It supports the pedogenesis necessary to the creation of the Humus.

Its use is sometimes regarded as essential in an agriculture of the " type; biologique".

Composition of wood raméal

This wood raméal contains Cellulose S, Hémicellulose S and Lignine S, very many Protéine S, all the Amino-acid , almost all the types of Sucre S and Amidon S, in addition to Polysaccharide S intermediaries. It is necessary to add an incalculable number of enzymatic systems, of Hormone S, but especially of Polyphenols, essential Oils, Terpene S, Tannin S and others…, associated with various degrees with all the nutrients necessary for the synthesis and the regulation of the life.

Among all these products, a very great number are extremely fragile like the Enzyme S, the amino-acids, and several types of proteins. Other products will be immediate energy sources like sugars, follow-ups of celluloses and hemicelluloses. Remain lignin, three-dimensional molecule, one of most complicated than the nature built which will be an important energy source, but of difficult access, since this energy is contained in aromatic cycles that few living beings are ready to degrade to draw benefit from it. Among these, one counts the Protozoaire S and the Bactérie S, but most important are Fungus group of the Basidiomycète S.

Action

The BRF makes it possible to regenerate the ground and to constitute trophic Chaînes thanks to the paramount role of the young person Lignine (present in the form of Oligomère S or of Monomère S) and with the fundamental action of the Basidiomycète S in the Pédogénèse with a major influence on the conservation and the distribution of biologically active water.

The branches (or very young trees) which compose the BRF represent the richest part of the tree. One finds 75% of the Minéraux there, of the Amino-acid , the Protéine S and catalysts.

In practice

Production

More the diameter of the branch is small, better will be the effect on the ground (any diameter higher than 7 cm is to be proscribed). The ideal is that these branches or branches are crushed for the dormant period thus without their Feuille S, little before the push of Sève (February at the beginning of March). This because they contain Lignine in formation, more contestable by the Champignon S and the Bactérie S that adult lignin, such as present in the trunk of the trees. These branches contain a nitrogenized matter essential to the development of these bacteria and mushrooms. These branches can come from the size and the pruning of the ornamental trees, of the size of the Fruit trees and the Haie S.

These branches, branches, etc, will be fragmented in crushing in order to facilitate the attack of lignin by the bacteria and mushrooms. Indeed, the bark of these small branches is protected from the insects and the bacteria by a layer of Cutine. Laceration exposes wood and thus makes it immediately contestable by bacteria and mushrooms.

One will avoid using the dry dead branches which are likely to pump the water of the ground rather than to maintain this last wet. Moreover, the dead branches are impoverished in nutrients. It is not thus not to better use them or then in very small proportions.

In purely economic term for the tree growers, the production of BRF can be competed with by that of Bois energy.

Use

  1. Épandre once per annum between 150 to 200 cubic meters of fresh BRF per hectare on a layer from approximately 1 to 2 cm. The BRF of coniferous tree is to be avoided; it is advisable not to incorporate more than 20%.
  2. of it to incorporate by two-prong crimping on the ground, on 5 to 10 cm (according to the nature of the ground), the process having to remain Aérobie
  3. if the first application of BRF is carried out at the end of the winter or in spring, to only carry out a contribution of Azote the first year (Compost or Fumier)
  4. Semer and not to disturb the ground more.
