Frölunda HC

Frölunda HC or Frölunda Indians (in the past Västra Frölunda HC ), is a club of Hockey based with Gothenburg in Sweden and which plays in the Elitserien.

History

In 1984, Västra Frölunda HC is born, after being dissociated later of the activities of the sports association of Västra Frölunda IF created in 1930. 20 years, whereas the club celebrates its 60e birthday of existence and its 20th as independent club, it gains the title of the league by finishing the season with the best card of Elitserien and the Championship of Sweden.

Frölunda establishes a new record of Elitserien the April 6th 2006 by gaining their series of quarter-of-finale against the Linköpings HC 4 matches against three after having drawn from the back a victory against 3; the season ended however in a defeat of 2 victories against 4 with the hands of the Färjestads BK finally. During the second match of the finale, Ronnie Sundin disputed its 685e match in the uniform of Frölunda, establishing a record of team on this subject.
