Fox Entertainment Group

Fox Entertainment Group is an American company held mainly by the group News Corporation.

Its activities are divided into four divisions. Because of the objectives and the public different ones from these divisions, the Fox group knows sometimes ambiguities or contradictions. For example, Matt Groening had to be excused for an episode of the Simpson (diffused on a chain of Fox) where he parodied the attacks of Fox News Chanel against the democrats.   • Fox Library : management of a catalog made up of more than 3000 films of cinema, televised series and telefilms.

  • Fox Licensing and Merchandizing : management of the rights derived from films and televised series produced by the group.

  • Fox Music and Music Publishing : original production of the bands of films and televised series produced by the group. Management of the associated rights.

Satellite division Television

This division is composed of the specialized company in satellite television DirecTV Group.

Division Television Stations

This division is owner of about thirty hertzian local television broadcast stations American which are affiliated either to the network FOX , or with the network UPN .

Division Television Broadcast Network

This division manages the American hertzian television network FOX . FOX is one of the principal American television networks. Approximately 200 local stations are affiliated for him.

It also managed of 1997 to 2001 the company Fox Family Worldwide which held:

  • the chain Fox Family looked by 84 million American home
  • Fox Kids Network
    • 76% of Fox Kids Europe
    • the catalog of Saban Entertainment Inc.
In 2001 it was revenud with the Walt Disney Company which renamed the chain ABC Family and the network Fox Kids in Jetix.

Division Cables Network Programming

This division operates the television channels by cable of the group (among which one can quote Fox News , FOX Sports , FX Network , SPEED Chanel , FUEL , National Geographic Chanel and FOX Movie Chanel ) and holds participation in other American television channels by cable, in television channels abroad (Fox International Channels) or in sporting clubs.
