Composition of the eye
The
Fovea, the central zone of the
Mackled, is the zone of the Rétine where the vision of the details is most precise. It is located in the prolongation of the optical axis of the
eye.
The Fovéa is populated quasi only cones, the Bâtonnet S being distributed on the peripheral Rétine, and it is in this zone that the major part of the appreciation of the colors is done. In spite of what us our perception suggests, we are thus almost " aveugles" with the colors out of this zone. In fact the movements of the
eye make it possible to have a total impression of the color of a scene.
The fovea does not contain inner cones. It is thus bivariante red-green and insensitive with blue. (*** Assertion to be checked: cf page of discussion ***)
