The fourth district of the Loiret is a legislative district created for the legislative elections of 1988 since and unchanged.

It is represented in XIIe legislature by Jean-Pierre Door, appointed UMP, and Maire of Montargis.

Geographical and demographic description

The fourth district of the Loiret, known as Montargis-Gien , represents is department. It gathers the following cantons:

• Canton of Amilly,

• Canton of Briare,
• Canton of Châlette-on-Loing,
• Canton of Castle-Fox,
• Canton of Châtillon-Coligny,
• Canton of the Châtillon-on-Loire,
• Canton of Courtenay,
• Canton of Gien,
• Canton of Montargis,

All these cantons are administratively attached to the Arrondissement of Montargis. Three cantons of the district are attached, for the legislative elections, with the Fifth district of Loiret:

• Canton of Bellegarde ,
• Canton of Tool bag-in-Gâtinais ,
• Canton of Lorris .
