Text

Four moments is composed on poems of Amin Maalouf, in French.

; I. Waiting I am the boat which drifts My lover is on other bank And the sea is so vast

I am the boat which drifts My lover is on other bank And the wind fell

I set all the sails So that the wind pushes me I set all the sails So that the lover sees me

; II. Pain I did not want to cross his glance The remorse burns me My eyes turned to him My eyes did not obey me

I did not want to cross his way The remorse burns me My steps led me towards him My steps did not obey me

This night, I remember it, The moon was full My door opened with him Then, gently, closed again

I did not want that its arms intertwine me The remorse burns me My body derived towards him My body did not obey me

I would have so much liked to keep it The remorse burns me One day moreover, another night He did not obey me

This night, I remember it, The moon was full

; III. Perfume of the moment You are near me But I close the eyes To imagine you

Our lips are passed very close to Our fingers are gotten mixed up Our bodies are discovered But I close the eyes To dream of you

You are the perfume of the moment You are the skin of the dream And already matter of the memory

; IV. Resonances My door opened with him Then, gently, closed again I set all the sails So that the lover sees me

I would have so much liked to keep you Our fingers are gotten mixed up Our bodies are discovered

You are the perfume of the moment You are the skin of the dream

I would have so much liked to keep you Our bodies are discovered But I close the eyes

I would have so much liked to keep you The remorse burns me But I close the eyes

I am the boat which drifts My lover is on other bank And the wind fell
