History
The fountain of angle of the Rebirth
The fountain of Innocent was carried out between 1546 and 1549, to replace a fountain going up at the time of Philippe Auguste, by Jean Goujon, on a drawing of Pierre Lescot, in order to celebrate the solemn entry of Henri II in Paris.It was initially established with the crossing of the street Saint-Denis and the street to Irons (left current the street Berger). Leant with the church of Saint-Innocent, it did not have whereas three arcades decorated with nymphs and naïades.

The work of Jean Pin
On each of the three original faces, Pilastre S twinned of Corinthian Ordre frame a arcade surmounted by a attic and a triangular pediment. The Naïade S with the veiled body, in Low-relief, fit between the pilasters. Each attic is decorated with mythological scenes relating to the sources and fountains.
The work of Pajou
The fourth face, of 1788, preserves the same ordinance as the three others of origin. Pajou took for model the statue of Peace, of Pin, which one can admire with the Musée of Louvre.
