Fountain-of-Vaucluse (in Occitan Of Provence: Vauclusa/Fònt de Vauclusa according to the traditional standard or Vau-Cluso/Do It of Vau-Cluso according to the Norme mistralienne) is a common French, located in the department of Vaucluse and the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure.

Fountain-of-Vaucluse is built around its resurgence, in a valley in cul-de-sac with the feet of the Monts of Vaucluse, between Saumane and Lagnes, with two steps of It Isle-on-the-Sorgue.
In direction of the west, one finds Saumane of Vaucluse with 4km and Isle on Sorgue (city of the corner) with approximately 7km. Towards the east, Lagnes with 3km and Cabrières of Avignon with 10km.

Only one another road allows the access to the village, much more sinuous, the " tourist road of Gordes " (secondary road 100a)

the Fountain of Vaucluse is the largest source of France called here fountain. This one gives rise to the Sorgue which runs out in direction of Saumane then the Isle-on-the-Sorgue. It is also classified fifth with the world rank with a water annual throughput of 630 million cubic meters, but this annual throughput is however not constant… Rather calm the summer, the exit of water becomes spectacular in period of raw (winter and spring with a flow which little to await the 90 cubic meters a second. Many a poêtes and writers visited and mentioned Fountain of Vaucluse. One can note inter alia: Pétrarque, Boccace, Chateaubriant, Frederic Mistral and Rene Tank.
