The Fondation Robert Schuman is a French institution, recognized public utility by decree on February 18th 1992.

Missions

It has the role of:

• to support the new European democracies by concrete acts: foundation of “Centers Robert Schuman” in old the Eastern European country;

• to take part in the development and in the future of the Europe in co-operation with the other European foundations by the organization of conferences, conferences and international meetings;
• to support the most promising research projects by allotting purses of doctorate;
• to contribute to the European ideological debate by publications and in particular the collection of the Notes of the Foundation.

The Foundation helps all those which chose the European democratic political model to defend it in their country. In Hungary, in Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Moldavie, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzégovine, it subsidizes foundations sisters with teaching vocation and takes part in their work. In France, it supports those which reflects and publishes on the European model political, collaborating in particular with the Presses of Sciences Po for the publication of works of research and synthesis on the European public opinion. It maintains a close international cooperation with other foundations to encourage everywhere the Démocratie in the world.
