The Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild is a hospital French dedicated to the Ophtalmologie.

In 1886, the Baron Adolphe de Rothschild expresses his will to create a hospital intended “for the treatment of the diseases of the Yeux and head and opened with the specialities and techniques imposed by progress of the Médecine”. Disappeared before to have been able to carry out its project, it was concluded by his wife, the Baroness Julie Caroline de Rothschild.

The Ophthalmologic Foundation Adolphe de Rothschild, inaugurated in 1905, is opened with all people, men, women or children without reference of Nationalité, belief, Religion or opinion Politique. It failed forever in this engagement.

Recognized public utility by Decree of the April 20th 1909, the Foundation acquires an important fame quickly. It takes part in the Hospital Public service since 1990.
