Foumban is a city of the Cameroun, located at the North-East of Bafoussam. It is the chief town of the department of the Noun. Regarded by Cameronian as the City of Arts, Foumban is an important city of the ethnos group Bamoun, which has there its museum of traditional Arts and the Culture.

This museum, where the photographs are strictly prohibited, tells the history of the dynasty (one of oldest of Africa) of kings Bamoun, of 1394 to our days. You can see the treasures of the museum of traditional arts and the culture of the royal palace of Foumban on the site of France-Cameroun.

One also finds the royal palace of Foumban there, where there is a museum with information in connection with king Njoya who invented an alphabet at the time of the Royaume Bamoun.
