Foulques de Mathefelon , bishop of Angers, member of the Family of Mathefelon.

Biography

He was doctor are laws, canon of Angers in 1316, operations manager by Jean XXII the November 17th. In 1319, he is known as law professor civil, and cleaned Ambillou. It was exonerated by it only during its promotion to the episcopate, which took place the March 28th 1324, after cancellation of that of Raoul of the Arrow. He was then simple sub-deacon, and the pope grants to him, on April 1st 1324, ability to be made order priest and bishop by such prelate that he will want. He had contentions with Elie de Saint-Yriex, abbot of Saint-Florent of Saumur, and was condemned by Benoît XII to repair the injustices and damage of which he had made himself guilty towards him, March 14th 1342.
