Foulque macroule
The Foulque macroule ( Fulica will atra ), belonged to the Rallidae, the family of the Foulque S, the Râle S and the Marouette S. the foulques ones are the only family members of Rallidae to being perfectly adapted to the aquatic life.
It is a large Oiseau of water, black with a nozzle and a white frontal plate. The legs with large lobed fingers are characteristic.
It is a gregarious bird on the stretches of water in winter. Migrating partial with the flight of hard appearance, it niche in the reeds and the paludous plants. Its two more important sites of wintering in France are the the Camargue and the Lac of Le Bourget (a little plus 10.000 listed each year).
They are very familiar birds, not fearing the man, and even come to nest in the ports. They raffolent moist environments, and one can also see them easily brouter.
