Foulcrey appears in the history under various names: Foukereis, Folkeringa (1333), Folkeranges (1360), Volckringen (1563), again Folkeringa (XVI°), Foulcré (1607), Fulcray, Foucrey, Folkeram then finally Foulcrey with the XVIII°. During the annexation, it taken the name of Folkringen (as indicated in the Correspondence of Lorraine German and French toponymies).

Blazon of Foulcrey: of azure to the dove holding in its nozzle the Holy Bulb, the whole of money, alongside by two flowers of gold lily and surmounts by three money eaglets.
