Foucherolles (administrator)

Foucherolles was the first director of the French Compagnie of the Eastern Indies to be been interested in the island Bourbon as such, and not like a component of the Mascareignes.

In 1714, four years after having written a report on the development of the island, it proposes to develop to with it the culture of the coffee. Soon, the island becomes one of the leading vendors of the Europe.
