Fouad Abou Nader (born in 1956) is a Lebanese politician. It is the son of Antoine Abou Nader and Claude Pierre Gemayel.

It was born on June 27th, 1956 in Baalbek, in Bekaa. After a schooling with the college Notre-Dame de Jamhour and the college of the Brothers Mount-The-Room, it joined American University Beirut off but because of the war, it continues its studies at the Saint-Joseph University where it obtained his diploma of medicine in 1982.

It adhered to the Social Democratic party Kataëb with the beginning of the year 1970. Member of the “Bejin” (BG, directed by Béchir Gemayel), represented at the Military council of Kataëb, it took part as of 1974 in his first battle against the Palestinians in Dekwaneh. As of 1979, and whereas the Lebanese Forces were in full formation, it was named with the head of the operations. He created with Fadi Frem, the Saddem , the troop of elite of the FL as well as the wahadet adonis. Right-hand man of Béchir become President of the Republic in 1982, it reached the post of head of staff of the FL this year then to that of command as a chief of the FL in 1984 after the war of the mountain which devoted its popularity in the rows of the chabeb (combatants). Commander-in-chief and President of the Council of Command of the FL, “Fouad Chief” refused to pour Christian blood and rejected the agreement of shame (Tripartite) in 1985 and was fortunately only wounded in the attack aiming it in 1986. Chief of the regional offices Kataeb, it opposed the diktat of Taef in 1989 and the setting under Syrian supervision (treaty of fraternity, co-operation and coordination) in 1991. Because of its opposition but also of its participation in the gatherings in Baabda against Taef and Syria, it had to leave the Political office of the Party which had chosen to yield. With Dany Chamoun, it formed the new Lebanese Face which supported the war of liberation of the Libanaise army against Syria. In 1990, the assassination of his/her companion of always Elias Zayek and Dany Chamoun pushed it to limit its public action. However, it never ceased requiring the end of the occupations Syrienne and Israeli and denouncing corrupted and collaborator a Libanais capacity. It made a discrete return in 2005 during the Revolution of the Cedar, decided to gather the former companions of Bachir Gemayel, the founders and the former executives, members and sympathizers of the Lebanese Forces and studied one moment the possibility of turning over to the Party Kataeb.

Appreciated for its integrity and its “cleanliness”, its “pure and hard” spirit and its intransigence concerning the sovereignty and the independence of Lebanon and freedom, the equality, the safety and the dignity of Lebanese, Abou Nader should carry out its return to the foreground soon within the framework of the launching of its movement which will be based on really democratic principles.
