Foster (Rhode Island)
Foster is a city of the state of Rhode Island (the United States) in the Comté of Providence. Its population was of 4274 inhabitants to the census of 2000 for a surface of 134,3 km ².
The site of Foster was used as of the 17th century by the European colonists (1636). Foster is integrated like a dependence of Scituate (Rhode Island) in 1730 before acquiring its autonomy in 1781.
