Fostat

Fostat (الفسطاط) is the Arab name of an ancient city located at a score of kilometers of the center of the Cairo, now included in the megalopolis. It was called before Memphis and was the capital of the Pharaonic Ancient Empire. Of Ier in VIIe century after Jesus-Christ, the city became Christian.
