Foshan (佛山; Pinyin: Fóshān) is a city-prefecture of the province of the Guangdong in China. The total population of its jurisdiction was of 5,4 million inhabitants in 2000, including 1,1 million for the city itself.

In 2005, total GDP was of 238,3 billion Yuan S, and the GDP per capita of: 41266 yuans.

Administrative divisions

The city-prefecture of Foshan exerts its jurisdiction on five districts  :

• the district of Chancheng - 禅城区 Chánchéng Qū   ;
• the district of Gaoming - 高明区 Gāomíng Qū   ;
• the district of Nanhai - 南海区 Nánhǎi Qū   ;
• the district of Sanshui - 三水区 Sānshuǐ Qū   ;
• the district of Shunde - 顺德区 Shùndé Qū .
