Forwarding Santo 2006

Santo 2006 was an ambitious scientific expedition carried out in 2006 on the Biodiversité of the island of Espiritu Santo in the Republic of the Vanuatu.

It gathered 160 scientists come from 25 countries of the world and the average scientists, human and technological of exception.

It was on the initiative Frenchwoman of the national Muséum of natural history, of the Research institute for the development and of Pro Natura International.

It was directed by:

  • Philippe Bouchet, professor with the national Natural history museum of natural history
  • Herve Guyader, professor of evolutionary biology to the Pierre University and Marie Curie (Paris VI)
  • Olivier Pascal, director of the programs for ONG International Pro-Natura and since 12 years the organizer of forwardings of the Raft of the summits
