Forville
Forville (in Walloon Forveye ) is a section of the common Belgian of Fernelmont located in Walloon region in the Province of Namur.
It was a commune with whole share before the fusion of the communes of 1977.
This village is located at 20 km of Namur.
With its etymology of " Foris villa, out of the domaine" , Forville evokes its old membership of the old man " round of applause of MEEFFE" wedge inhabitant of Li2ege in the county of Namur and whose court of high justice and haughty seigniory had its seat with the castle of Seron-Forville (House of the Count, below). At the northern entry of Seron, towards MEEFFE, the three small tumuli, known as " tombs of Seron" , pointing out the vicinity of the old Roman roadway: curious alignment of small hillocks of almost 6 m in height on approximately 25 m in diameter of which two of them unite by the base. Excavated in 1854, their furniture - small jug out of glass, ballot box in gray pottery… - is stored with the archaeological Museum of Namur, richest of Belgium in this field.
