Forum of the Middle East

The Middle East Forum ( Forum of the Middle East ) is a Think tank (think tank) liberal Néoconservateur whose mission consists in defining and to promote the interests of the the United States to the the Middle East. Founded in 1990 by Daniel Pipes, it became an independent organization in 1994.

The mission of the MEF

The Forum estimates that the United States has vital interests in the area. He believes in particular in the fundamental importance of close links with Israel, the Turkey and the others Démocratie S in becoming. He engages in favor of the Human rights in all the area, seeks to support a provisioning of regular Pétrole and at low prices and supports the Pacific regulation of the regional and international competitions.

The MEF considers the area, with its many dictatorships, its ideologies radical, its existential conflicts, its frontier dissensions, its political violences and its weapons of massive destruction like one of the independent sources of difficulties for the United States and consequently invites to take urgent measures to protect the foreign Americans and their Alliés against these dangers.

With this intention, the Forum tries to influence the intellectual climate in which the decisions of foreign politics of the United States are made by approaching some the central themes in a way accessible to a quite informed public.
