Fortunate Leydet , born in 1784, French soldier and politician.

He embraced the military career early. Major during the fall of Napoleon i, it decided for the restored royalty and was not long in receiving the price of its devotion. In 1823, he was colonel of the 10th regiment of line; later, it ordered the 57e, and passed soon in the rows of the opposition, which was worth to him some annoyances on behalf of the capacity and its election like deputy by the department of the the Low-Alps.

Mr. Leydet voted with the deputies of the against-opposition for famous the Adresse of the 221. Following the events of 1830, it was re-elected appointed and lined up under the banner of his/her relative Casimir Périer. Raised with the Brigadier general rank of , Mr. Leydet redoubled zeal, and supported the ministry, while claiming useful reforms vigorously and by announcing abuses in the budget of the war.

In 1834, Mr. Leydet, income with his principles of opposition, was opposed to the law against associations and highly fought the project of the government on the additional appropriations. This opposition made remove with Mr. Leydet his command; however, in 1836, it accompanied the general Bugeaud in Algérie, and the favor seemed to want to return to him.

Since February 1848, the life of Mr. Leydet is become again very parliamentary. It belonged to the constituent National Assembly and then sits at the legislative Assemblée.
