The Fortress of San Carlos of Cabaña , was built in 1763 by the Spain at the entry of the port of Havana, whereas Cuba was one of its colonies. 'was then the greatest military complex of the Nouveau world. The fortress was used then as prison during the mode of Fulgencio Batista and after the seizure of power of the cuban Révolution in 1959. Many lawsuits and executions then took place there under the supervision of Che Guevara. It is now a historical park containing several museums.
