Forostar

In the Ground of the Medium of Tolkien, Forostar was one of the six areas of the island of Númenor, which sombrit with the Second Old one.

The area of Forostar corresponds to the northern branch of the island (Forostar meaning " Grounds of North "). It is bordered in the west by the Andustar, in the east by the Orrostar and in the south by the Mittalmar.

Forostar was the least fertile area of all the island, since it was mainly rocky. Only in the western slope, one could find some trees, in particular fir trees and larches in the middle of heathers. It is on the western slopes that large escarpments vis-a-vis the sea decided, and it is there that drew up Sorontil whose strongly abrupt walls were inserted with peak in the sea. And in top of this one the den of many eagles was. It is in top of Sorontil that Tar-Meneldur, the 5th king of Númenor, made build a tower of observation, because being impassioned of astrology.
