Fornos de Algodres
Fornos de Algodres is a municipality (in Portuguese: concelho or município ) of the Portugal, located in the District of Guarda and the area Centers.
Geography
Fornos de Algodres is bordering:- in the North-East, of Trancoso,
- in the east, of Celorico da Beira,
- in the south, of Gouveia,
- in the west, of Mangualde and Penalva C Castelo,
- in the North-West, of Aguiar da Beira.
History
Fornos de Algodres was seen granting its first charter - foral , in portugais - in 1200, of the hands of the king Sanche I {{er}}.New charters were granted the March 6th 1311, by the king Denis of Portugal then, the May 20th 1514, by the king Manuel I {{er}}.

Culture
- Center of historical and archaeological interpretation of Fornos de Algodres (CIHAFA, in Portuguese: Centro of Interpretação Histórica E Arqueológica de Fornos de Algodres ), inaugurated on November 1st, 2002 in the presence of Jorge Sampaio, president of the Republic. This center includes in particular a museum, a library and an auditorium.
