Fornalutx is a Commune north of the island of Majorque, in the archipelago and autonomous of the Balearic Islands, detached community first once of the common neighbor of Sóller in 1812, one second time in 1820, and finally in 1837.

Administration

Currently the mayor of Fornalutx is called Joan Albertí Sastre, elected first once in 2003 and re-elected in 2007.

The Spanish civil register existing in Spain only since 1870, that Ci is entrusted to the ministry for Justice. Its representative with Fornalutx is the Justice of the Peace ( Juge of Pau ). The Justice of the Peace and his substitute are elected by the municipal council and are named by the higher Court of justice of the Balearic Islands. The acts of civil statue that the Justice of the Peace of Fornalutx is in right to deliver are obligatorily contresigned by the secretary of the Jutjat of Pau ( Juzgado de Paz ).

Before the promulgation of the Spanish Constitution of 1978 and the statute of autonomy of 1983, the Justice of the Peace and his substitute were appointed directly by the territorial Audience of the Balearic Islands on proposal of a tern presented by the Municipal council, it was the same for the Fiscal for Pau ( Fiscal of Paz , prosecutor of Peace). This last load is currently removed.

The tax last “ ” of Fornalutx was Bernat Barceló Busquets which, in 1989, replaced Joan Antoni Estades de Moncaire I Bisbal, elected official this year there, temporary Justice of the Peace after having been prosecutor of peace of 1976 with 1989 (five years mandates).

Guillem Puig Mascaró is (2007) the current Justice of the Peace of Fornalutx, he is laid off in letters ( Catalan Philologie ) of the University of the Balearic Islands.

Inheritance

  • the church of the village is placed since 1483 under the advocation of the Nativity of Notre Dame. The registers of the baptisms, marriages and deaths exist since 1581. Until June 1913, it was attached to the parish of Sant Bartomeu of Sóller.

  • the town hall of Fornalutx is with the number one of the street of Vicari Solivellas. It carries the nickname of Can Arbona (at Arbona), surname owner of the place with 15th and 16th century, the family Estades de Moncaire became owner about it then. In the years 1950, under the mandate of the mayor Josep Arbona Busquets, the commune acquired of the building which was restored after the death of the Franco general.

  • Bartomeu Mir Cerdà, native of Pollensa (1927). Priest administrator between 1950 and 1951
  • Cristòfol Trias Tightened, native of Marratxí (1927-2001). Priest administrator of 1951 to 1966
  • Agustí Tightened Soler, native of His Pobla (1930). Priest of 1966 to 1978
  • Miquel Deyá I Deyà, native of Deià (1940-2006). Priest of 1978 to 2006
  • Diego Leon Fioravanti, native of Palma de Majorque. Temporary priest between May and August 2006
  • Ricard Janer Bonafé (missionary of Crowned Heart). Born in Biniamar (Selva) in 1938. Priest administrator since 2006
