A form is a panel used in work of construction industry for to case the walls of Béton.

Components of the formwork

The reservations and the opening are carried out by means of negative out of wood, metal, resin or Polystyrène set up between the forms before casting. In the case of opening (doors, windows, trap doors grids…) one speaks about mannequins. The negative ones for the low-size reservations are often called limp.

Use

The forms are used for the construction of large buildings because they require lifting gear (crane S…)for handling. They allow a time-saver and of quality in the realization of these works.

The rammed concrete veils are subjected to a certain number of standards (see the site of AFNOR, French Association of Standardization, attention certain standards are paying).

Implementation

The stages of realization of a rammed concrete veil are the following ones:

1. Tracing on the ground of the position of the veil

2. Realization of a heel-piece or installation of blocks to define on the ground the thickness of the veil and to block the foot of form
3. Installation of the first panel of form on one of the face of the veil has to carry out
4. Traçage of the positions of the reservations and the levelling course of the veil
5. Installation of the reservations
6. Installation of the reinforcement of incorporations (plumbing, electricity…)
7. Closing of the formwork using the second panel and the butts (closing of the ends)
8. Tightening of the stems (element placed between the two form and which ensures the maintenance of the spacing
9. Réglage of the verticality of the formwork
10. Coulage and vibrating of the concrete
