Forgotten of Clipperton

Following the acquisition of the rights of exploitation of the Guano by the Pacific Island Company in 1906, a base is created on the Île Clipperton. A headlight is built on the culminating point of the island, the Rock , visible with 30 nautical miles. The military garrison Mexican directed by the Arnaud captain is made up in 1914 of a hundred people. The island being completely desert (attended only by million Crab S and many birds…). It is supplied every two months by a boat come from Acapulco.
Following the Mexican revolution, the government forgot the garrison of soldiers installed on the spot with women and children. When US Lexington accosted the island at the end of 1915, the majority of the inhabitants had died, mainly of the Scorbut. The survivors wanted to evacuate the island, but the Mexican governor there opposa.
In 1917, all the men died except the guard of the headlight, Victoriano Álvarez like 15 women and children. Victoriano Álvarez proclaims king. Its brutal reign (it is shown in particular rape and of murder) ended in its assassination by the widow of the Arnaud captain. July 18th, 1917, the shortly after died of Victoriano Álvarez, US Yorktown recovers the last survivors (4 women and 6 children).
