Forgiveness

The forgiveness is the result of the act forgiving, the remission of a fault.
With the biblical direction of the term, to forgive generally means one of the two following things:
- When he forgives the men, God cancels or draws aside the punishment necessary for the sin;
- When they forgive each other, the men treat themselves with a Christian love and do not have bad feelings with regard to those which offended them (MT 5:43 - 45; 6:12 - 15; Lu 17:3 - 4).
