The forest of Risoux was an important place during the second world war. Indeed, it is by this forest that many Jews could escape the deportation thanks to a die imagined by Victoria Cordier, Anne-Marie Im-Hof Piguet and Fred Reymond, between 1941 and 1944: Victoria Cordier crossed with them Risoux of night, and they arrived at the refuge of the Hotel of Italy, in Suisse.
