Forest of Othe

Vast forest located between the Champagne at north, and the Burgundy in the south, limited respectively by the valleys of the the Seine and the Yonne, the Forest of Othe , undulating and green, is made up primarily of Feuillu S hard, at an average altitude of 236 Mr. It covers approximately half of the surface of the Pays of Othe, the remainder making up of cultures, orchards, sources, brooks and being strewn with a score small communes.

It is a country of Pommes and Cidre (Museum of the Cider); an activity of tourism was centered gradually on the hiking, equestrian and VTT.

This forest has a historical past associated with the Ligures which remained there and with a Gallo-Roman later occupation. The name Pays of Othe means " meeting of trees " in Ligure.
