Group American Rap composed in 2002 and made of two members: Phonte, the MC, also member of another group of rap, Little Brother, and Nicolay, a Dutch producer, who is often compared with Pete Rock, so much it controls his subject. Little Brother had appeared besides on the album Soul Survivor 2 of Pete Rock. Thus Phonte can recognize the talent where it is.
Its meeting with Nicolay leads to a first album in 2004, in which rap, r' B and drunk person mix, for a surprising result, which joins together all these kinds and gives a puff of fresh air to the hip-hop.
If one were to compare them, their style approaches rather well that of Dwele for example.
