For the third time Apelkanaal (village)

Ter Apelkanaal is a village Dutch of the province of Groningue.

The village is located on the two sides of the channel of the same name, the southernmost part of the Stadskanaal. Thus, the village with the form of a Village-street, all in length along the channel.

The village was founded at the time of the exploitation of large the Tourbière S. Its church was built towards 1870.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Ter Apelkanaal had its clean Gare on the line of Railroad of Stadskanaal to Ter Call. The station, just like the line, disappeared.
