Around film

the film is based on events having really taken place with Elmore City, small rural city of the Oklahoma, in 1978. The dance was banished there since nearly 90 years, until a group of high-school pupils hustles the rules.
Footloose gave place to a Musical comedy of Walter Bobbie, of which the first have mile the October 2nd 1998 with the Richard Rodgers Theater of New York.
Michael Cimino was at the beginning to carry out film but was returned after it asked for an advance of 250.000 dollars to entirely rewrite the scenario before the beginning of turning.
the scenes where Chris Penn learns how to dance were added to the scenario because this last could not really dance.
Diane Wiest, which interprets the role of VI, the mother of Ariel, is only nine years old more than Lori Singer (Ariel).
