Footbridge of Lignon

The footbridge of Lignon (sometimes called footbridge of Loëx ) is a pedestrian Pont on the the Rhone, located in the Canton of Geneva, in Suisse.

Localization

The footbridge of Lignon is the tenth bridge upstream of the Rhone after its exit of the Lac Léman. It connects the village of Loëx, located on the territory of the commune of Bernex, on left bank and the city of the Lignon, located on the territory of the commune of Vernier, on Right Bank.

History

The footbridge of Lignon is built in the Années 1970 by the company Sappro which exploits a Pipeline oil products refined in Suisse. In fact, the footbridge is doubled of a Oléoduc on its right-sided and is used to transport the oil products which come from France in direction of the storage section of Sliding gauge.
