The football in room or futsal (of Spanish fútbol salted ) is a collective Sport derived from the Football with adapted rules.

History

The history of the futsal goes up has 1930 in Uruguay, the same year as the first world cup. Juan Carlos Ceriani developed to with it, for YMCA, a new concept of football which can be played as well inside as outside. At the same time, with São Paulo (with the Brazil) a form of football which can was invented be played on a ground of Basket-ball.

These new ways of practicing football were quickly adopted by all the South-American continent. The Brazilian Association of the Sports is the first to found of them the fixed rules in 1958. Thirteen years later, in 1971 is created the Federación Internacional de Fútbol de Salón (federation international of futsal) and the first championship of the world is organized with São Paulo in 1982.

Quickly FIFA organizes its own competitions of football in room, develops its own rules and, in 1989 with Rotterdam, is played the first championship of football in room of the FIFA. One of the principal innovations was to reduce the size of the ball, which allowed a faster play, more fluid and (for the first time in football in room) to mark head.

Today, the FIFA and the MFA ( Asociación Mundial de Fútbol de Salón , downward of the Federación Internacional de Fútbol de Salón ) manage unit this sport and its principal championships.

Rules

  • the futsal is played on a ground of handball.

  • a team is made up of 5 players of which a guard. The replacements are unlimited and constantly play.
  • the balloon is specific to weak bounce (semi rebont) and thus smaller and heavier than a traditional soccer ball.
  • the faults are sanctioned by a frankly indirect or direct blow.
  • the match is played in 2 20 minutes or 2 semi 25 minutes times half-times.
  • the re-entries of key and the corners are done with the foot

The Championship of the World of Futsal FIFUSA/AMF

Belgium

In Belgium, two concurrent federations organize national championships of football in room; the Belgian Association of Football in Room (ABFS) and Belgian Royal Union of the Companies of Football Association (URBSFA), the latter also managing the championship of football.

Launched to Belgium, to Flanders in 1968, football in room became national since 1976. And it is following the cultural decrees of 1978, that the federation was born in its current configuration: maybe with a body national faîtier (a.B.F.S.), which chapeaute 2 autonomous wings (the French-speaking League of Football in Room - L.F.F.S. and Vlaamse ZaalVoetBalbond - V.Z.V.B. ), recognized by the C.O.I.B and by, respectively a.D.E.P.S. and Bloso.

Futsal is today the sport more practiced in room in the world. Futsal was born in South America, more precisely in Uruguay.

The word Futsal comes from the association of 2 words: " Futbol de Sala" or " Futebol of salão" , which means " football in salle". The origin of Futsal goes back to Montevideo (Uruguay), in 1930 o˜ Juan Carlos Ceriani designed a version of football with Five at the time of a competition for young people.

The play is exploited the courses of handball, inside and outside without the use of the side walls. Word FUTSAL is the international term used for the play. It is derived from the Spanish word or Portuguese FUTbol or FUTebol for the " football " , and of the French word or Spanish Living room or Salted for " 'intérieur".

Futsal gained a rapid popularity in South America, and more particularly Brazil which is still today the fatherland of Futsal. In Brazil, this sport is a true institution, young people are initiated in Futsal at the school, in the colleges, then can integrate sections specialized from 11-12 years.

Very many large Brazilian players come from Futsal. " Peeled, Zico, Socratès, Bebeto" and others superstars of Brazilian Football developed their technique while playing in Futsal. Whereas Brazil continues to be the center of activity of this practice in the world, the game is now played under the auspices of the FIFA on all the continents.

The first International competition, the " South American Cup" taken seat in 1965, with the victory of Paraguay. Up to 1979,6 Southern cuts American were gained by Brazil which continued its predominance with a victory in the first Side American Cup in 1980 and gained it once again in 1984.

The first Championship of the World of Futsal of 1982 was organized by the FIFUSA (before the integration of its members within the FIFA in 1989) in Sao Paulo (Brazil). The Brazilian ones consecutively gained the 2 cuts of 82 and 85 in Spain but could not republish their exploits for the benefit of Paraguay at the time of the 3rd world cup which proceeded in Australia

The FIFA ensured the direct patronage of the event in 1989 in Holland and 1992 HongKong. Brazil has still gained the two editions.

The third Championship of the World was held from November 24th to December 11th, 1996, in Spain.

The fourth Championship of the World of Futsal which was held in Guatemala from November 18th to December 4th, 2000 showed the emergence of Futsal Européen with the victory of Spain against legendary Brésil over a tight score of 4 - 3.
