The club is chaired by Bertrand Benoit and is pulled by Frederic Arpinon. the beginnings of the FC Istres the Sporting Section Istréenne is founded in 1920 by Mr. Guizonnier. The club, which benefits during fifty years from the exclusive pleasure from the Donnadieu stage, shines at its beginnings by its results but spleen of one nothing the accession in DH in 1966. The SSI is melted in 1969 within a general sports club, Istres Sports, which adopts the colors of the SSI: the purple one and black.
