Foot armchair or to powerchair football

In the beginning, within the school framework, of the impassioned young people of Football starts to think of a means of practicing this sport in electric armchair. The championship of France is set up since 1992. It gathered 11 teams then.
Some dates:

1989 : Sport of demonstration to the Plays of the Future with Limoges.
1991: First official competitions with the Plays of the Future with Hyères.
1992: First Championship of France.
1995: Creation of the Federal National Commission of electric Foot-armchair within the Handisport French federation.
1999: Hundred twenty-eight teams practice the electric Foot-armchair through France including fifty three in competition.
2000: 58 teams registered in Championship of France.
2001: 68 teams registered in Championship of France.
2002: First Coupe de France.

the championship of France is held on 4 divisions (1st, 2nd, 3rd on all the hexagon and " nationale" divided into areas)

the Coupe de France is held the Championship of France parallel to.
a phase of qualification takes place in each area. Only one team is qualified by area.
In final stage, the qualified teams meet in eliminatory matches.

the foot-armchair is the fourth competitive sport handisport.
There is more than 500 bachelors.
It is played in France, Belgium, Portugal and according to different rules with the the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom.
a project to harmonize the rules under the name of IPFA (International PowerChair Football Association), the equivalent of FIFA, is in hand in order to register this sport with the paralympic Jeux.

Many players: 4 (3 + 1 goal).
Analogies with the traditional foot: the corners, left goal, pénalties, paperboards yellow, red.

Differences:

the handing-over in keys proceed on the ground like indirect blow-francs.
